Andy Williams Last Christmas Appearance at the McCallum Theatre
Andy Williams will make his last Christmas appearance at the McCallum Theatre this weekend. Williams turned 82 this month, with the age, now he’s quite content with the achievement, so he let fans of his recordings and television show see him in Branson. He said that the only reason he’s doing the show is because of his wife.
She said, “I hear you’ve been offered three days at the McCallum.” He said, “Yeah, but I’m not going to do them because I’m not touring any more. I’m through.” She said, “But, all our friends are there. I want you to go there.” So He said, “All right, I’ll do it.” Then his agent said, “I understand they would like you to do three days in L.A. at the Cerritos (Performing Arts Center).” It’s a good place, so He said, “OK, I might as well do that, too.” Then his agent called again and said, “Well, now there’s one up near San Francisco. That’s just one day and then they would like you to come into Vegas for two days at the Hilton.” So he said, “OK. But this is the last one.”
Andy is very happy in Branson doing the show, but he admitted that he don’t want to start traveling again.
