Charla Nash face is another victim of a pet. This case, the 56-year-old woman from Connecticut was attacked by her friend’s 200 pounc chimpanzee in February 2009. Nash appeared on Oprah Show on Wednesday to show what the attack had done to her face, that caused animal control to kill the chimpanzee on the spot.
She admitted to Oprah (when she decided to show her pic on the popular show) that she doesn’t feel any pain but she tries not to touch her face to avoid knowing the injuries.
“I don’t ask a whole lot about my injuries… I know that I have my forehead,” she said. She now drinks her meals “with a straw through a small hole where her mouth used to be,” ABC added.
She lost both her hands, her nose, an eyelid, and lips on the attack. Doctors removed her eyes due to an infection, and only recently did she learn she’ll no longer be able to see.
“Only . . . in the past couple of weeks did she realize that she no longer had eyes, because she had been saying that she was hoping to be able to see at some point,” Oprah said, according to the New York Post.
says she wears a veil “so I don’t scare people. And sometimes other people might insult you.”
A horrible thing can happen to innocent people, especially when handling with wild animals.
