Evelyn Stevens wins her first major European road stage 4 of La Route de France, Thursday after she out sprinted fellow American Kim Anderson. She is currently riding for the USA Cycling Women’s National Team.
Though Evelyn Stevens began racing only months ago, this winner now leads the team in second place overall, 1:19 behind race leader Anderson. There are more strong team against them, now that she shows her true potential.
There are five additional members who also contesting the five-stage La Route de France from USA Cycling’s Women’s National Team program, such as Ally Stacher, Carmen McNellis, Kristin McGrath, Alison Starnes. Unfortunately Lindsay Myers didn’t finish.
