Jennifer Lawrence is making her directorial debut with Poker House. This actress also plays a role in the film. The Poker House is a period drama set in 1976 that explores a typical day in life of a teen named Agnes (Jennifer Lawrence). Agnes is different from others, she has to struggle for survival, her mother (Selma Blair) is on drugs, her home has been overrun by degenerates, and her only father figure is a pimp.
