Lillian Roth Biography: I’ll Cry Tomorrow with Video

Lilian Roth was born as Lilian Rutstein in 1910. She was a actress and singer who began entering the acting world when she was 6-years-old appearing in films, plays and revues. When she was little, she was called as “Broadway’s youngest star”. In the late 20′s and early 30′s Lilian Roth was on stage with Earl Carroll’s Vanities and Ziegfeld’s Mightnight Frolics. Other than stage, she was also famous as Hollywood star, working on many movies.

In 1953, Lilian Roth was on TV series, This is Your Life, when she told about her biography. A decade later, she released a personal autobiography – I’ll Cry Tomorrow which became a hit and international best seller when she starred Susan Hayward in 1955 who received Oscar Nomination for I’ll Cry Tomorrow.

Lilian Roth also known for having a drinking problem and having been married 8 times. Lillian Roth passed away at the age of 70.
