Merlin Olsen Dead Fighting Cancer at 69

Another sad news came from sports world. Merlin Olsen, who succeeded formed one of the NFL’s greatest defensive lines is dead because of fighting cancer when at 69. Olsen was famous because of his work at NFL broadcasts, commercials, and even TV series “Little House on the Prairie” and “Father Murphy.” He was a member of both the Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame. After his football career ended, he began working on television as a commentator for NFL coverage.

Olsen was diagnosed last year with mesothelioma, a cancer of the lung lining. Ever since then, he had been undergoing chemotherapy treatments. He left his wife, Susan and three children. Rest in peace Merlin Olsen.
